+ 9am. Cha Cha.

CHASE                        Would you rather share your poetry or have another share with you?

CLAUDELEAN            You agree that conversation is art.

CHASE                         It isn’t often enough. Mostly it’s merciless.

A few times it’s a miracle.

CLAUDELEAN            Well, I consider myself to be revealing.

CHASE                        You shouldn’t blame anyone.

CLAUDELEAN             To a fault. Or I use to be.

CHASE                        Used.

CLAUDELEAN            I was open, too open.

CHASE                        And now?

CLAUDELEAN             Sadly enough, I’ve learned.

CHASE                        Who taught you?

CLAUDELEAN             No one sees beauty in what’s available.

CHASE                        Being alone won’t help either.

CLAUDELEAN            There has to be some sort of participation.

CHASE                        A director and his actor.

Oh what am I talking about?

CLAUDELEAN            You’re right. That’s not an example.

CHASE                        Not even close.

But you get what I’m saying.

CLAUDELEAN            A couple revealing how they look.

CHASE                        That’s art, you think?

CLAUDELEAN             Sure, I think.

I mean it’s an idea.

I just didn’t explain it very well.

CHASE                         It’s difficult to share.

CLAUDELEAN             Rare.

It’s rare to have someone that’ll listen.

CHASE                         She can’t.

CLAUDELEAN           He can’t become who he is but, I guess.

What’s impossible or, okay.

CHASE                        Feels impossible?

CLAUDELEAN             That, too.

Is having that person and finding that he can.

CHASE                        Find you, too.

CLAUDELEAN             Well, he can.

But that he can do that for you, too.

CHASE                        Find you?

CLAUDELEAN            Well yes.

But I was answering you.

CHASE                        Oh then repeat it.

CLAUDELEAN            What I was saying?

CHASE                        I think you wanted to remember.

CLAUDELEAN            The future?

That wasn’t what it was about.

CHASE                        No that’s true. You were holding on.

CLAUDELEAN            Because I must have been waiting.

CHASE                        Yes, you get so strange when you do.

CLAUDELEAN             Just quiet.

CHASE                        No, really, you should have heard it.

CLAUDELEAN             What was I saying?

CHASE                        First, let me think about it.

CLAUDELEAN             Never mind.

Don’t tell me.

CHASE                        Hold on.
